Streets Of Rage 4’s free update brings in a training mode which is superb. I wanted to cover the update because it also added a lot of nice additions to the game. I enjoy rogue-like elements and games so this is a perfect addition to a game I enjoy getting back to often. These stick with you and are stackable for that specific run. After completing each stage, you can choose one of two random perks. The new survival mode lets you take on stage after stage of enemies.
What makes this DLC truly special is in the new moves for all characters, survival mode, and the superlative new soundtrack by Tee Lopes. Not only are the character designs and animations as good as I had hoped, but they play brilliantly as well. Even if the DLC was just the three being playable in the main campaign, I would be satisfied because they are varied and fun enough to warrant multiple replays of the story. X Nightmare’s highlight is the advertised trio of Estel, Max, and Shiva joining in as playable characters. Despite some hiccups with the Nintendo Switch DLC, it is out now and phenomenal. X Nightmare is that good in every possible way. Saying Lizardcube, Guard Crush, and Dotemu went above and beyond for this DLC would be underselling it because Streets Of Rage 4 – Mr. Hosted by 44 Bytes.Streets Of Rage 4 was already one of the best beat ’em ups of all time and I wasn’t sure what any potential DLC could add to the game barring new characters when there was some discussion around any future content being added. © 2022 Hookshot Media, partner of ReedPop.

New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (12th September to 18th Sept. There aren't many details on the new mode just yet. As well as characters, the DLC will bring a new Survival mode, which challenges players to "elevate and prove their true capabilities through special tests of skill". It introduces three more playable fighters, one of which is the aforementioned Estel, who you can see in action in the above trailer. X Nightmare is the name of a premium DLC pack coming to SOR4, and it looks like a seriously beefy expansion. Estel, a boss character part way through the game, has been highly requested to become a playable character, and today, publisher Dotemu has not only confirmed she's on the way, but that a whole lot more is coming too. Slick gameplay and wonderful presentation makes it a fun time playing solo or in co-op, and it introduces some great new faces to the franchise. Streets of Rage 4 arrived almost a year ago on PlayStation 4, and it's a reboot that really brought the series back with style for beat-'em-up fans.
